Getting started (summary)
Section titled “Getting started (summary)”- Apps → FlexiBlocks in Shopify Admin (full browser tab).
- Open a content type from the Content hub → Edit in FlexiBlocks → Save.
- Complete Settings → Installation for reusable blocks.
- Enable Settings → Content types if you edit metaobject HTML fields.
- Enable the FlexiBlocks theme app embed for storefront layout and commerce blocks.
Frequently asked questions

Section titled “Does this replace Shopify’s built-in editor?”No. FlexiBlocks is an alternative; native description/body editors remain available.
Where is content stored?
Section titled “Where is content stored?”Primary HTML is in Shopify’s native fields. Block JSON for re-editing is in app metafields ($app:gutenberg.data).
Can I edit product descriptions?
Section titled “Can I edit product descriptions?”Yes. Open Products on the content hub. The same applies to Collections.
Which blocks are available?
Section titled “Which blocks are available?”Editorial blocks, Shopify Files images, accordion/tabs, YouTube/Vimeo embeds, commerce blocks, and reusable block references. See Editor.
Why don’t columns, videos, or product cards look right on the storefront?
Section titled “Why don’t columns, videos, or product cards look right on the storefront?”Enable the FlexiBlocks theme app embed — Storefront. Commerce blocks also need the embed for live catalog hydration.

Uninstalling
Section titled “Uninstalling”Uninstall from Shopify Admin → Apps. Saved body HTML stays in your store. App metafields and metaobjects may remain until you remove them.
